SWAP
SWAP is a program of the Institute for Hunger Research & Solutions at Connecticut Foodshare. For more information about SWAP, visit ctfoodshare.org
Using the Healthy Eating Research nutrition guidelines, SWAP is a nutrition ranking system designed for food pantries and food banks to help them promote nutritious food choices. SWAP offers valuable nutrition information through the use of a stoplight ranking system. It uses the information found on food labels (saturated fat, sodium and added sugars) because these nutrients are closely connected to chronic disease.
