The WFC actively educates and networks with organizations that strive to alleviate hunger throughout Washington State.
Communication
WFC members stay informed about issues at the state and federal levels that affect them in their communities. WFC also shares innovative solutions and helps solve problems through collective expertise.
Training & Resources
WFC provides on-call technical assistance to members on a range of topics, including everything from food safety to fundraising. WFC also hosts an annual conference which provides members an opportunity to learn from one another, as well as from experts in the field.
Networking
WFC brings emergency food providers together in a way that no other organization does. It has built a diverse membership that participates on many different levels. WFC is extremely proud of the relationships that have grown within its membership, across the region, and with government.
Advocacy
As “The Collective Voice of Emergency Food Programs,” WFC provides a collective voice for emergency food providers that bridges regional and philosophical divides. The organization follows state and federal budget and policy issues regularly, and alerts its members when action is needed. WFC actively advocates to enhance existing federal, state and local funding resources, as well as to improve circumstances for individuals who access emergency food programs.
