POINT RUSTON: Self Guided Tour

Point Ruston, a waterfront resort-inspired village with panoramic views of the South Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountains and Mount Rainier, is a popular boulevard that runs along the waterfront of Commencement Bay.
 
Join your fellow WFC members to experience the best in Pacific NW dining, shopping, recreation, and entertainment.
Take a walk along the three-mile-long scenic waterfront pathway enjoyed by joggers, walkers, roller bladders and bicyclists alike. Visit shops and take a break at one of the local restaurants, bars or ice cream shops.

No fee, carpooling.

MUSEUM OF GLASS: Cost $10

The Museum of Glass is a 75,000-square-foot art museum dedicated to the medium of glass. Since its founding in 2002, the Museum of Glass has been committed to creating a space for the celebration of the studio glass movement through nurturing artists, implementing education, and encouraging creativity.

As part of a group tour, you will have access to galleries, theater, education studio, and of course, live glassmaking in their hot shop. The hot shop amphitheater provides seating to watch live glass blowing demonstrations.

A staff member will also be on hand when we arrive to greet our group and orient us to the museum. Join us to tour this world famous museum and see current exhibits and their permanent collections.

Backpacks, suitcases, camera bags and large shopping bags are not allowed in the galleries. Visitor Services staff is happy to check these items for you while you tour the exhibitions.

$10 per person fee to be paid to the WFC in advance.

MOTHER EARTH FARM:

Mother Earth Farm is an 8 acre organic located in the Puyallup Valley. The farm is a program of the Emergency Food Network, and distributes more than 100,000 pounds of fresh fruit, vegetables, and herbs annually to Pierce County food banks and meal sites.Food from the farm is available to food banks within 24-hours of harvest. The Emergency Food Network provides 14.8 million pounds of healthy, nutritious food annually to 68 food pantries, hot meal sites and shelters for distribution to families and individuals in need.
