Each year, the Washington Food Coalition hosts a conference, offering workshops on a variety of topics relevant to emergency food providers including nutrition, fundraising, operations, and food safety.

This year's conference focus is on Sharing the VISION of a Hunger Free Washington.
Attendees will have the opportunity to develop new collaborations, share information about tools and resources, hear about new and innovative programs and services, and network with others who share in their commitment to alleviate hunger.
The conference will feature a mix of keynote, breakout and networking sessions. The conference also offers many opportunities to take home tools & resources, as well as potentially take home some great door prizes and gift baskets!
On Wednesday, attendees have the opportunity to take part in the Harvest Against Hunger Area Summit. There is also the option to join in local tours, with options including a winery, local farms & ranches, a local cidery, and a visit to a member agency in nearby Leavenworth. In the evening we will be having a welcome reception with hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.
On Thursday, our breakfast keynote speaker will be Leonard Fein, founder of the Mazon Foundation. Learn more about the work of the Mazon Foundation by clicking here. The day will be filled with informative and useful workshop sessions to better equip you in your interest of hunger relief. We will also feature a unique experience to explore the perceptions of poverty that you won't want to miss out on. In the evening, enjoy the ever-popular BBQ on the patio ($10 extra-but more than worth it!).
On Friday, our second breakfast keynote speaker will be Reverend Stephanie Ahlschwede, who is the Executive Director of United Methodist Ministries in Omaha, Nebraska. The day will then also continue with 2 more rounds of fantastic workshops, with closing ceremonies & door prizes concluding at 2 pm.
